The sacrament by which one is initiated into the Christian faith. One is baptized by sprinkling, immersing fully in water, or pouring water on the head of the person (or infant) as the Trinitarian formula is spoken. Baptism allows one to receive God's promise of salvation.

Holy Communion

Receiving the bread and wine. We believe in welcoming all to Holy Communion.  Since Lutherans believe in the real presence of Jesus in the sacrament of Holy Communion, we encourage people to come and meet Jesus at the Lord’s Table.

Other Means of Grace


The "affirmation of baptism" is a mature and public profession of the faith prepared for by attending catechism class. Confirmation teaches about the Lutheran doctrine.


Confession consists of two parts: one is that we confess our sins; two we receive the forgiveness from the pastor as from God himself.
